History

I originally set the site up in 2001, just to see if I could set up a web site. It was much more difficult then. The only subject I could think of that may be of interest to others was about the area I have lived and played in all my life. It was set up on my personal webspace for many years with UKonline. However, Sky TV bought them out and I had one months notice to say I would lose the whole site and all email addresses. Unimpressed by this I searched for a new Internet provider and found Freeola. They were brilliant. White Coppice, Anglezarke and Rivington now had its own domain www.white-coppice.co.uk Now, 16 years later, it’s still going strong, with over 90000 visitors and weekly numbers increasing.
